    This was easy to prepare, but filling was just not what I expected maybe the bourbon and filling did not mix with my palate. I will continue to watch show and try recipes. All recipes are not for everyone and this was not mine. Keep cooking with love.

    I love this pie. This is a GREAT PIE that is so simple to make. I love it. Thanks Tony. I appreciate this show, the Neelys, and their recipes. Keep the recipes coming, for they are awesome.

    I have never made a pie before and I'm glad this was my first. It was so delicious. My husband has had 3 slices today. It was incredibly easy too!!! Go ahead and make it already!!

    This is the ONLY pie that every single member of the family likes. I get requests for this pie at every single holiday and even in between. Will be making for Father's Day tomorrow. This pie is so good that I now make 2 every time b/c the first time I made it I didn't even get a piece... it was all gone! The only thing I suggest is using a deep pie crust. Thank you Neely's for this and all your great recipes.

    This is probably the best pie I ever made! I make this for almost every family occasion because it is highly requested. Absolutely THE BEST chocolate pecan pie recipe.

    This was easier than I could have imagined and quick too but best of
    all it was WONDERFUL! A total hit with our guests and my husband
    who changed his opinion from "I hate pecan pie" to "this is actually good."

    My first pecan pie and it turned out GREAT! It was really easy to make and took little effort (stress-free. I didn't add the bourbon, because I do not keep liquor in the house, but still turned out delicious. I made this for my husband, and after one bite, he exclaimed, "This is the best pecan pie I've ever tasted" I was lucky to find a recipe that is exactly what a pecan pie should be. Made my guy happy :- I will definitely make it again, and again. Thank you, Neely family! Love your show!

    This pie is AMAZING. I had absolutely no problem with consistency. I cooked it on the highest rack and actually cooked it for only 45 minutes. I will definitely be baking this pie again in the future.

    I've made this pie at least 20 times. It's always a hit. I experimented one evening when I ran out of milk chocolate morsels, and I found the pie even more delicious with my substitution. In place of the mini chocolate morsels, I chop up a milk chocolate Hershey bar. Then I add chocolate morsels to the chopped Hershey bar to make the required 1/2 cup. The result is a pie that has more smooth chocolate flavor from the melted bar, but still has the surprise texture from the chocolate morsels. I see several comments about consistency. I've had this problem before with certain pies. One trick is to allow a pie at least 24 hours chilling time before serving. With the proper chill time, this pie has an excellent consistency that even gets better with 48 hours from baking. My husband slices and eats directly from the pie plate!
