Pecans are too expensive. Don't waste your time or money making this pie. The taste was awful. Love the show just not this recipe.

This pie was so easy to make and it was absolutely delicious! it was a big hit at thanksgiving! the only thing i would do differently next time is maybe toast the pecans a little before i add them in the recipe. I would definitely recommed this recipe!

Have to agree with the last review about consistency. I made this pie for Thanksgiving. Followed the recipe exactly except I used less bourbon than called for. Flavor was incredible, everyone loved it. However, the center of the pie was mushy and runny. I have never made a pecan pie before, so perhaps I did something wrong? I made it the night before...should it have been put in the refrigerator overnight to set? Will probably try again but wish I knew where I went wrong!

As I made this recipe, I thought "Wow, this seems really easy" - too good to be true, it turns out. Although the chocolate and bourbon added nice flavors to this pie, the filling itself was mushy goo. Skipping the more complicated steps of other pecan pie recipes (like stirring the filling over a double boiler and tempering the eggs made a definitely noticeable difference in this sub-par offering.

I have been taste testing pecan pies for a week to bring to Thanksgiving dinner. This was sooo good I did not even share it. I left it in the refrigerator so I could bring it home and eat with my family only!! We are fighting over the last piece now!

I had not ever made a pecan pie or even tasted it! But, it was my turn to do Thanksgiving and I wanted everything to be the BEST traditional food I could create. So I made this pie and let me tell you... number one: it is EASY and number two: it was the MOST POPULAR dessert of the evening!! THX!!!!!

Made this pie for the office t day luncheon. Everyone loved the pie and we are making another for t day dinner. I did not use the burbon and I baked the pie shell...just one question are the chocolate chips supposed to melt in the pie as
it bakes? this recipe is so simple and easy to put together I really enjoyed making a wonnderful pie that looks so complicated...Happy t day to everyone!
