Compared to most bottled French dressings, this is less sweet and much tastier. Very flavorful on it's own; didn't have to add much salt and pepper. I didn't have dry mustard, so I skipped that. Otherwise I followed the recipe. I'll definitely make again!

I used red wine vinegar and yellow mustard instead of ground and it tastes great!
If you want a creamier consistency just add a little more sour cream. So yummy over romaine with a little crumbled bacon!

I've been on a bit of a quest to find a good French dressing recipe. On this attempt, I jotted down the ingredients incorrectly and used a tablespoon of dried mustard and about a half tablespoon (two teaspoons of sugar, since I've found that I almost universally prefer less sweetness.
Despite the goof, this is my favorite French dressing so far, though it's admittedly strong. The reason I withheld the fifth star is because I find the consistency to be a bit thin, and I really wouldn't call it a "creamy" French dressing.

I made this last night exactly as the recipe stated. It was delicious & I will make it again.....The flavors in the this were tangy & zested up the salad.

Mine turned out a little too sharp for me - had to add an extra tsp of sugar. Could be 'cause I snicked one our big, fat, juicy lemons from our Margarita stash of lemons & limes! Will try it again, though, and also add maybe a little more of the sour cream...

I made it my own by adding a touch of chili sauce for some kick, and a tsp of onion powder. Combined the white wine vinegar with seasoned rice vinegar...it's sweeter and a touch oily, and rounds out very nicely, using a touch less than the 1/4 cup called for. Good French Dressing recipes were hard to locate and I really like this one!

Made with ingredients on hand. Only had lime juice, added 2 t dijon mustard, increased paprika, reduced oil slightly, omitted sugar (forgot used Brooks spicey ketchup, and added 1/4 c. water to thin and lighten.

I made the dressing and used it over mixed green of lettuce and spinach. Added cherry tomatoes and crisp bacon. My family loved it! The dressing was quick and delicious.
