Baked for an hour and 30 minutes just like the recipe said and it was too much time. Besides the over baking, the cake was alright.

This recipe is made for failure since there is no baking powder, too much flower for too little of butter, yet baking time is way overboard. For some reasons the reviews are too far apart....no middle ground.

I am making this cake, following the recipe exactly. It's one hour into the baking time and I have the biggest mess ever in my oven. The cake baked over. I know it's my fault for not putting a pan under my bundt pan, but has anyone else had this happen? I mean...it's an atrocious mess and my house now smells like burning cake and is filled with smoke. How lovely. NOT.

At first look at this recipe, I was a little cautious felt more butter was need for the amount of flour. Read reviews and decided to add 1/2 stick of butter. Results: Perfect! Crust and all.

This pound cake was good. It turned out just fine for me with the recipe given. I can't say that about my mom's pound cake recipe. I will say that is was not as thick as my mom's pound cake. It was a lot lighter.

This was the first time I made a pound cake. It was very easy and delicious. However the bake time (maybe just my oven was much shorter.

THIS CAKE LOOKED SO DELICIOUS IN THE PICTURE BUT WHEN I MADE IT IT WAS HORRIBLE, THE CRUST WAS HARD AND I COULD NOT GET IT TO CREAM AS THERE WAS TO MUCH SUGAR FOR THE BUTTER AND I REALISED THERE WASN'T ANY BAKING POWDER/SODA THAT MADE THE CAKE VERY HEAVY. I WILL NOT TRY THIS CAKE AGAIN BUT I LOVED UR CARROT CAKE RECIPE.
