Soft and a surprise to my taste buds! The title alone ...alchoholic...I suspected an over-riding taste of the rum. I'm in San Francisco area and years of Irish coffee. Instead, the hot chocolate had a subtle flavor...similar to how vanilla is to baking recipes. Very nice.

My favorite I've ever had. But I use Tate's golden syrup instead of honey. Divine, the best

I love thick hot chocolate, so we added a little more chocolate and left out the rum for the kiddos. We also added a few marshmallows. Yummy! I think me and the hubby will try it later with the rum. ;

Delicious recipe. I added 3 star anise peices, and used some spiced rum. Definitely needed more than a tablespoon of rum per cup though.
I didn't have any brown sugar on hand, so instead I used a teaspoon of molassas. Very good.
Slightly rich though. Next time I'll probably use a bit less chocolate. Felt a bit too heavy.

Great hot chocolate. I would cut the chocolate a little as it is a bit thick for my taste. Nevertheless, a great flavor.

this is perfect for a chilly night. I brought this for a movie-in-the-park night in San Francisco and everyone lapped it up. The addition of the rum is key as it adds a little kick but not enough to get buzzed. I added 1 T or so of espresso powder to enhance the chocolate taste. Perfect!

Reminds me of the exquisite hot chocolate I tasted in Paris, and chocolate in any form doesn't get much better than that. You have to try this!
