So good and really easy. The simple recipes really are the best! I used a whole 4.5 roaster chicken that I de-skinned and cut up. The meat was tender and fell off the bones the sauce was fantastic. I love spreading roasted garlic on slices of bread. Yumm!

Served this to six very critical eaters last night and received excellent reviews. I added 1/2 cup cognac instead of the wine and next time I'd add even more liquid to have more sauce. Delicious!

We really enjoyed this dish - the carmelized garlic was mellow, incredibly delicious and brought a good deal of flavor to the chicken. However, I made a few changes to the recipe. I used a whole chicken, cut into 6 parts. I also borrowed a technique from Barefoot Contessa's chicken and garlic recipe and blanched the garlic for 60 seconds, then peeled it prior to placing it in the dutch oven. Finally, I used about 1/3 cup of white wine and may use even more than that next time I make this recipe.

This chicken recipe is simple and amazing! I'm making it for the second time which is highly unusual for me; I like trying different recipes rather than repeatedly making the same reco[es. This one is definately a lifetime recipe.

I made this meal but without sticking it in the oven, everything was cooked on the stove top and WOW, it was amazing, something I just wasn't expecting. The chicken had an almost sticky glaze on it at the end from the garlic. This is a go to chicken recipe for our home.
