This is a wonderful recipe. She did stipulate to use a deep pan, so I used a square casserole. Fruit desserts always bubble up, so this was a smart precaution to follow. Excellent flavor and very easy!

Loved it last Thanksgiving--and we shall try it again. The topping was delightfully crisp and crusty--and excellent! We cut the recipe in half tho..

I made this several years ago for Christmas and it was wonderful. I lost my copy of the recipe and printed this version off - a complete mess! This recipe calls for WAY TOO MUCH SUGAR (1 3/4 cups of sugar. It does not bake correctly and all you end up with a sugary sloppy mess. I thought Food Network could be trusted to provide accurate recipes, but look elsewhere for this one. If made correctly, it really is fantastic.

Made this for Christmas 2008 and all my extended family LOVED it! This recipe is simple and easy. If you can't make it correctly you need to go back to high school home economics class.

Thanks a lot Nigella. Your stupid recipe ruined my brand new oven. It overflowed and all the sugar burned into the bottom of my oven including the burners. I see I'm not the first to have this experience. So much for my beautiful new Kenmore!

I love cranberries and this recipe is excellent when you want to impress any time of year! The 'crust' is almost like a cookie, good even if the edges get a little over cooked - every time I serve it my guests are VERY impressed! Little do they know how EASY it is!

Looked good on TV. But recipe was a disaster. I must wonder if the translation from metric to standard measure may have been badly messed up. Wish I would have read the reviews first. Although I moved the ingredients to a deep dish, it was way to thick to complete cooking through. A large flat casserole might work. At least I avoided the spill-overs and oven messes cause the Mrs. sure does not like those!

Made this for Christmas dessert and everyone couldn't stop raving about it. It was also really easy to make. I read the reviews about the overflow, so I used a 2-qt (9x9x2 pyrex square pan and it just reached the surface with no spilling over. I also added a little almond and vanilla extract to the cake batter. Instead of orange oil, used zest of 2 oranges. Overall it was easy, delicious, and so so popular. I've been asked for the recipe by my guests. Definitely a keeper.
