The cupcake was yummy and light and soooo easy. The frosting was a little boring on flavor so I think I will make this again with 1/2 a teaspoon of vanilla in the frosting but it's an awesome recipe.

very good! Easy, quick, light, and fluffy. My husband ate three of them! I think I will be making them again.

I love the ease of making these cupcakes but mine sink in the center. Any ideas as to what I can do to fix this. I follow the recipe exactly.
Thanks

The cupcake is good tasting although it is more like a muffin.
The icing is just gross it is really just sugar super yuck! I rinsed it down the drain after tasting it!

Love that the recipe is so quick and easy and makes just 12. Sometimes 12 cupcakes is enough! Will certainly adjust the oven temperature and bake time on the next go round. 400 seemed too high and the cupcakes started to burn after 12 minutes.

In Nigella Lawson's cook book.these are named 'Fairy Cakes'. Try to purchase ANY of Miss Lawson's cookery books. She Never disappoints! UK version is best. Baking by Metric is more accurate and independent of Weather conditions, Humidity for example

This is a very simple and easy recipe and tastes great! I like to sometimes add almond extract instead of vanilla to add a different flavor to it! My whole family loves it, and my friends request it!

Chef Paolo says:
These cupcakes were fine. they were not the best cupcakes I ever made. But I might have overcooked mine a little. The cupcake itself was yummy but, the icing i would defiantly not consider even trying to make.

These were beyond easy...nearly as easy as dumping out mix from a box and adding oil (or whatever it is you add to mixes. These were light, buttery, springy, and just plain delicious. I made them with my two kids for our baby's birthday, and we whipped them up in no time. All the ingredients are always on hand and there's hardly any mess. I see lots of cupcakes in our future! The icing wasn't as superlative as the cake part, so perhaps I'll read reviews about how to spice that up a bit. This is a keeper.
