I was lucky enough to see Elvis' cook demonstrate how she would make this sandwich for Elvis. This is not anything Elvis would accept, this is a healthy variation of his sandwich! She started with a whole stick of butter in the frying pan. Two tablespoons of PB would be a bite or two for Elvis. More stars if the Elvis name was not implied.

That sounds good, but not a sandwich fit for a king, the photo even looks cafeteria thin. My Tennessee history professor uncle has always known it was a fried sandwich, grilling the bread (like a grilled cheese sandwich and banana in butter and/or bacon grease, applying the grilled banana, peanut butter and crispy bacon . See wiki for some very interesting stories on this. TCB

Even if you don't really like bananas or peanut butter - you will love this! It transcends the parts, and the whole is luscious!
