Rich, delicious, and super-easy! How can you go wrong with a brownie recipe that incorporates my favorite candy bar? The lovely thing about this recipe is that it uses ingredients you usually have on hand, and is also very forgiving of substitutions - e. g. I have used white and Demerara sugar in place of muscovado when I didn't have the latter. I usually top my brownies with nuts, but i havent felt the need to do so with this recipe, it's just so good. Highly recommended!

These are very good brownies. I don't know if they are the best I've had. They were a little bland. I followed the recipe exactly, but used semi sweet chocolate chips rather than milk chocolate. The milk chocolate may have made them a little sweeter. I will try the recipe again with milk chocolate. I also think that for other reviews that said they were like cake, they probably cooked them too long. They shouldn't take more than 20 - 25 mins. And should look sort of underdone in the middle when they are pulled out of the oven.

Wow! These brownies are so moist and chocolatey. I used extra milk chocolate chips as well as extra unsweetened cocoa powder(both Ghirardelli. I'm just getting into baking so I am proud of myself. This will be the only brownie recipe I use.

My husband is a very picky eater but when he bit into these he asked, "where did you get this recipe?" and "can you please add the recipe to our family cookbook?" I was dubious of the texture of the brownies as we usually make more cake-like ones but these are amazing. Like other reviews said, they are not overly sweet which makes them perfect for ice cream sundaes. They are easy to modify to your own taste, we added pecans instead of chocolate pieces. This recipe is a keeper!

Don't make a box mix again! These are easy and sooo good. Not overly sweet, because you use milk chocolate & unsweetened cocoa. My daughter bit into one and said "Wow, did you hear that"?. You could hear the thickness & moistness...ouuu..prepare entirely on stovetop. I used a milk chocolate bar/costs less..put in all 7oz. I added a little extra cocoa for more chocolate flavor. I cut into 20 2x2 1/2" pieces. OK to go smaller because very thick & rich. I didn't add the powdered sugar, but next time I may sprinkle reese's pnut butter cups on top..for extra indulgence..oy vay!! Make em!!

Easy, easy, easy and well worth the little effort. Most of the ingredients you should have on hand. I made these for a group of a few adults and a large group of kids! Loved it! Very easy to modify for different chocolate taste or surprise add in ingredients. Moist, chewy and oooober flavorful!
