This is great!! To reduce some calories, I substituted in unsweetened cocoa powder for the ovaltine, and it was amazing! Will definitely make this again.

This is a such a yummy treat! It never disappoints, as a delicious pick-me-up. I don't add any honey or sweetner, the bananas are sweet enough. Occasionally, I add a tsp. of peanut butter for a variation on the taste. Even though I add frozen diced bananas, I also like to add 3-4 ice cubes, for a "slushy", frozen drink like effect. This recipe works great with any kind of milk. I've even tried it with Almond milk (soy & lactose free, 60 cal.= 1 cup, its still creamy and delightful!

A while back, I made an Ellie Krieger chocolate-banana shake from one of her cookbooks, but I lost the recipe so I wanted to find something similar. This is pretty close, and it's just as delicious! I used a heaping 1/2 tsp. of instant espresso powder, and used 2 tbs. chocolate syrup, and the flavor was great (I didn't have malted milk powder. I'd probably cut down the chocolate syrup to make something healthier, but the chocolate and banana go very well together, and it's a good small jolt of caffeine, perfect for an afternoon pick me up snack.

Made this for breakfast and added chocolate flavour protein powder instead of chocolate powder and added 1Tbl. peanut butter with 1Tsp agave in place of honey. It turned out fantastic and filling. Got my protein, carbs and fat all in one healthy, satisfying drink. mm!mm!Good..

I hate those left over over-ripe bananas & have found the most delicious way to use them. I mixed it all up and served it in lovely martini glasses and my husband simply loved the flavors and the creamy texture. A definite "do againer".

This recipe is very tasty and creamy. I'm a fan of chocolate and coffee flavored drinks, and this is the perfect breakfast. Generally, I have a light breakfast (if I don't forget or drink fruit smoothies. This is a nice treat and change from the usual fruit smoothies. I used agave, Bournvita (chocolate malt drink and Bru (Indian coffee. The only change I'll make is using less agave, because the banana was sweeter than I expected.

I make this every morning during the week! Instead of the instant coffee though, I add 1 T peanut butter. Yum!

This was a good recipe. I used agave nectar instead of honey and it was delicious. The coffee really gives the smoothie a tasty flavor.

Yummy!!!! This smoothie is filled with fruit and tastes great. My 9 year old daughter asked me to make it for her birthday. It was a blast with the smoothies!!!!!!!!!!!! It doesn't taste good after 2 days, though.
