    I didn't have a chalky taste to mine, I made sure I mixed the sugar very well before adding the cream. I really enjoyed this recipe, sweet and easy to make!

    the recipe name sounds like it should be delicious. the result was chalky though. it was not smooth at all. i won't make it again. perhaps changing the sugar to superfine instead of powdered would make this the ice cream i expected.
