Really nice coleslaw though I expected the dressing to be a little lighter in consistency. Still delicious and I really like the subtle but complimentary flavours. Will try this out during the last BBQ of our 'indian summer'. The pecans are a lovely touch too!

I made this and liked it alot, just felt it needed a bit of a lift, I did as another reviewer did and add and apple just because I like crunch, and added an extra 2 spoons of maple syrup. I make this most weekends during summer and it always goes down well. I love the crunch of the onions and pecans. Nigella's right the kids love it and mine always ask for seconds. Yum.

This was prety good. I wasn't sure about the addition of pecans, but it really gave it something special. Nice flavour combos. My only issue is that the flavour was a bit bland and too sweet, as written. At least for my tastes. I also tend to prefer a coleslaw that is a bit more tangy. My fixes were: Added 1/8 of a cup of additional vinegar and added about 1/8-1/4 cups-worth of chipotle hot sauce. The smoky, spiciness of the chipotle was the perfect compliment to the sweetness of the maple.
Pretty good. I will make again with those changes.

Was so excited to make this, I LOVE Nigella, she is awesome. Triple checked recipe to ensure I made it correctly. My entire family must have weird taste buds, because no one was impressed with this dressing. What is the point if I have to triple the maple syrup to make it have any flavor?

This is the second time I have made it - it's very yummy. I agree with everyone else that you need to go by taste and you may need extra salt, pepper, maple syrup... and I also add two small gala apples which I sliced into slivers... AMAZING it adds an extra crunch and more flavor!

I love this dressing! Now I hate to make regular coleslaw and my daughter agrees. I usually cheat and but the store bought slaw mix but I get the same result. This is definately a keeper!

I have made this coleslaw about 4 times already, I just have not had a chance to review it. This is the best coleslaw recipe ever! I love the scallions in it and the pecans add such a nice crunch to it. However what really surprised me was the maple syrup that it called for however it adds such a nice depth to the coleslaw. I love making this for my BBQ's it gets gobbled up fast. Thanks Nigella!

I had everything on hand for this on the 4th of July, so I whipped up a batch and really liked it. Next time I?m going to increase the amounts of maple syrup, salt and pepper, though. The dressing tasted wonderful by itself, but once I tossed it with the cabbage, etc. it was a little bit bland. The pecans are a great addition, though, and I will definitely be making this again.

tried this for our 4th of July BBQ-It was just OK, not terrific. I used Savoy Cabbage & found it to be too tender thereby causing a somewhat bland crunch. May try again but will use regular green cabbage.
