This cake is luscious, moist, tender, and delicious! I don't understand the reviews that claim this to be dry. True, I have never had much luck making cakes in a food processor. However, Nigella has given instructions on doing it the "regular way", which has always worked for me. Also, my oven cooks REALLY hot, so I have to take about 10 minutes of any recipes cooking time. To make sure you have success with any baking, make sure you know if your oven cooks a little hot (or cold. The cake and frosting are out of this world and everyone always loves this! Highly reccomended!!!

This cake is one of the lighest homemade chocolate cakes that I have come across! I am really impressed. It has a lovely flavour and the chocolate frosting is to die for! I will be making this cake again. I may attempt to try it as cupcakes. Hope it stays as moist and light.

Longest Recipe for a Cake from Nigella. Gosh is it Worth the "trouble". Just have All ingredients out and measured. Metric, really gives Best results. If you have the cookery book from U.K. this comes from~try and will notice why. Weather will never be a problem Baking ever again. Frosting worth just to have on hand and put on cup cakes.I prefer Marscapone Cheese to the Sour Cream called for~you decide after You try and notice not as "tangy" on tongue.Best Cake.

Where is the liquid in this recipe? DRY, DRY, DRY. Foodnetwork needs to fix this recipe--something is lost in translation. Second time around put in 1 cup of milk and made cupcakes instead. Better, but there won't be a third time.

We made this cake this week and it is DRY as the sahara. We followed the recipe exactly and it's definitely missing liquid somewhere. Add something to it if you want it moist, otherwise you're going to have a very dense, dry cake. The frosting, however, is delicious. Use it on a different cake.
