this recipe looks very good and i want to make it but i have some questions about the ingredients. what is caramelized onions in a jar? also i have never seen cubed pancetta. are these american ingredients?

I just watched this Nigella episode on TV - and noticed a couple of discrepancies her ingredients and the ingredients as written on this site. Please note that Nigella uses "1/2" a can of tomatoes (NOT "1" can of tomatoes - and she uses "red lentils" (and not "green lentils".
