My family raved about this cranberry sauce! I used fresh squeezed orange juice an a little grated orange rind. Super easy to make and super quick. Why would anyone eat canned sauce???

Having never made cranberry sauce before, I was looking for something simple with only cranberries (no orange, pineapple, etc. The cherry brandy sounded fun, so we decided to try it. It was Christmas Day and we didn't have the cherry brandy (going to take care of that right now! so we used a delightful red, fruity wine. It worked! This recipe will be added to our traditional holiday dinners! We will have to double the recipe next time :

This was a very easy recipe and I also used Nigella's turkey and all spice gravy recipe as well. I cut back on the sugar but it still turned out amazing. :

This is one of my favorite cranberry recipes. The cherry brandy really brings out the fruitiness of the dish. Many cranberry sauces are too tart, too sweet, or flat. Make sure that you add the juice of 1 lemon to counterbalance the sweetness of the sugar and bring out the berry & cherry aroma.
