Like many others that have tried this recipe exactly to the letter in her book, my brownies were cooked on the top and the sides but were completely uncooked on the inside. I'm not just talking about a little goey, no no!! I am talking about the end of the world and all that is left is an expensive, chocolatey, nutty goo!! If only I had seen this forum before blowing my money on the mammoth list of ingredients. Never mind, I will eat the edges and bin the rest.....not even my dogs will touch it.......and they lick their own bottom! The worst part of it all is that I love Nigella; if you have never seen her programme then you may not understand but I assure you she can turn beans on toast into the most dreamy recipe with her grasp of the English language.

I took these to my brother's birthday party and loved listening to my cousin "mmm...mmm" them every time she took a bite. They got rave reviews from the family. This is now my default brownie recipie forever!

Shut up and let me eat this! OMGosh this recipe is deserving of an award! There is no congress that can be held in the boudoire that I wouldn't willingly leave, and quickly mind you, for this triple chocolate brownie. I would perhaps hire a man to make them for me...to put that cherry on top, of course, but these are great.
First off if you, in fact, make it to cooking the brownies, kudos to you. I'm in EST zone which sometimes messes with baking times, and 27 min. was the accurate timing here, but In TN the mountainous zones I believe attributed to this.
If I wasn't already married, I"d put this on a window sill, screw the pies!

These are amazing. I made the mistake of bringing them to work and now my co-workers ask for them all the time! My oven runs a bit on the cool side so I do find that I need to cook them about 10-15 minutes longer. If you follow the recipe and know your oven you will be rewarded!

I have no idea how anyone could consider these a waste. These happen to be the best brownies I have ever had, let alone made myself. They are chocolaty, gooey and rich as can be. I have made these brownies four times for parties, and they have been a hit every time. Thanks Nigella!

I was so excited to make these. Took a special trip and got really good chocolate for these. Made them and they are like rubber. They have a very weird texture to them. and they seem very thick for brownies to me. What a waste of money.

My roommates and I love this recipe, I make them all the time, One thing I LOVE to do is take those microwavable dipping chocolate containers, melt it in the microwave then pour it on the top... When it hardens and you eat it with ice cream AMAZING.... I have never had a problem making these brownies, and i am going to make other of her recipes, I hope they dont dissapoint.

Wow - these were amazing. I have never made brownies from scratch and these were so easy. I didn't use white chocolate (not a fan but doubled up on the regular chocolate chips. Next time I will need to cook them much longer or in a bigger pan. Super rich and perfect with vanilla ice cream and a big glass of milk!

I have always hated brownies because once cut, they crumble on the top and just look messy. These cut beautifully, and taste amazing, moist and chocolatey. But not overly sweet
