brownies were very good and simple..... i had to cook them 10 minutes longer so the inside would be cooked. it never was 100% cooked, but still good recipe.

I was wondering because it seems lots of others are having the same problems as I have had with her recipes as far as the cooking times, if perhaps Nigella has a convection oven and not just a regular oven. My oven is checked frequently for accuracy and it is accurate in the temperatures. I baked my brownies 15 minutes longer than stated and I believe it needed 5 to 10 more minutes. Maybe just the 5. But that is 20 minutes longer than she suggested. The flavor was wonderful and because I have to have walnuts in my brownies, I added them. So, is Nigella's oven a convection oven, which cooks faster, or are we having a C/F temperature translation problem? The chocolate Loaf cake had cooking timing problems also.

I used semisweet chocolate for the brownies, instead of the bittersweet. Other than that, I used the ingredients the recipie calls for. Although, I did have to bake the brownies an extra 10 minutes longer. Did not make any difference, because, the brownies were still moist and good!

The ingredients are great. Making them
so very easy...I added 10 minutes baking
time...they have a wonderful presentation...but, they were more of a
bitter brownie than a sweet brownie.

These brownies are truly addictive! I let them cook about 5 mins longer and they were still moist and delicious. They disappeared so fast! I made 4 or 5 batches in December and I could never make enough. Great!

There are not enough stars to rate these brownies. I'll never make boxed brownies again. These brownies are what chocolate is all about. I've gotten rave reviews and given out Nigella's recipe several times. I will say that they cook best in a tin pan as Nigella recommends and I had to adjust the time cooked per my particular oven-an extra 5 minutes.

I followed the directions exactly but was very disappointed in the taste and texure. Overwhelming chocolate flavor, more like fudge, and way too liquidy in the center.
