I followed the recipe to a T yet the brownies were not cooked at all in the middle. I put the pan back in the oven for an extra 10 minutes....the middle was still runny while the outside was dry and overdone. I had to throw the entire thing away. very disappointing.

My brownies turned out more like chocolate cake, without all the "denseness" of brownies. Did anyone else have this problem? I followed the receipe, except I didn't add the extra chocolate chips to the batter. Disappointing.

also had to cook them longer than instructed and the inside was still gooey while the outside was cooked. a huge hit though!

What a great dessert! I used mini chips instead of regular ones, and it gave me an even more dispersed amount of chocolate throughout the brownie batter. Definately a treat for those who love chocolate. My family could only have one small square each.

WOW that's some chocolate! Really delicious, but I must admit, I could only handle one. I used a trick from Giada - coat the chocolate chips with a tiny bit of flour to help them stay suspended in the brownies so they don't all accumulate at the bottom. Great tip - great brownies! Thanks, Nigella!
