This salad is beyond amazing! I didn't have the Thai chile, so i used red curry paste for spice - and it was great! I cannot believe how easy: not including the time to make the chicken, this salad was ready in 10 minutes. I didn't let it sit for half an hour - as the recipe suggests - because I like a lot of crunch. I'll probably add some peanuts next time. Thanks, Nigella!!!

I loved how fresh, healthy, and crunchy this dish was. Keep 'em coming, Nigella!

First of all, I must say...Nigella is so much fun to watch! I really enjoy her philosophical approach to life and cooking. She loves good flavor, but knows the constraints of everyday living. This was a great recipe. And I was reluctant to use fish sauce as I have previously viewed it as too pungent for my taste.

Looking for a way to use the mint in my garden I came across this recipe and within 45 minutes we had a fantastic dinner. I grilled the chicken and that added a bit of flavor to the dish. I also used vidalia onion so the onion flavor was mild but the onions really absorb the dressing so serve as tangy delivery vehicles for the vietnamese in this salad. Fantastic! I will be adding toasted crushed peanuts next time and some bean sprouts for some added crunch.

I made this last night and it was one on those nights when I was dog tired. It didn't take long at all and was very tasty. This will definitely become a recipe I use often. I used bok choy instead of regular cabbage. It worked very well.

one meal left, this would be IT! Nigella scores another SUCCESS with this recipe. Not for those who are afraid of heat, this recipe packs a whallop of warmth. This is one of those recipes I make often. Terrific for guests and if you can believe it, tastes better the next day when the flavors can mingle. I have all of Nigella's books and become THRILLED when I saw her making this recipe on her show. My family loves it!

the salad was very good. i poached a large chicken breast with half of a large carrot and a couple of bay leaves then shredded with a fork. i followed the recipe exactly and was quite pleased with the result. beware, however, that though leftovers still taste good, they get a bit mushy/wet.

This was a great recipe! I really enjoyed the flavor and marinating the onions made a big difference. Delicious!
