Majorly fattening/greasy - no wonder why there are so many obese people in the US. I'd like to see Food Network promote healthier, well-seasoned food instead of relying on so much fat.

I am originally from Mexico and am picky when it comes to tacos. This are the best tacos I have ever made. The pork was tender and great!!! Nice combination of ingredients!

The carnitas were easy to make and the pico de gallo was a wonderful addition.

My husband and I cooked this for our family and we ate it before the family arrived to eat, so, we made it again the next day for the kids. Loved it!

The recipe was great. Went over well at a dinner party. Anybody who didn't like it is free to not eat it, but I'll bet they'll be lonely.

Well, obviously not for the food police but this is exactly the way millions of Mexicans make carnitas. And, it's just like the way the French make duck confit which is also cooked in it's own fat. Both cultures have much lower rates of heart disease than we Americans. Why is that? They don't eat it every day or in huge portions the way we do McDonald's.
