Nope...hated it. Why would you call these oatmeal bars when you hardly taste the oatmeal. And I agree; you've got to love molasses to like these bars. I'd feed them to the dogs, but I put some chocolate chips in them, and dogs aren't supposed to eat chocolate. I don't think they'd eat them, even without the chocolate. Don't waste your time with this recipe.

I made these oatmeal bars even though my family thought they would not like them, it turns out they loved them. I didn't have chocolate chips so I substituted cinnamon chips, I left the raisins out. I cut the molasses down to 1/4cup and used 1/4 cup corn syrup as well. This recipe is great. Next time I will use chocolate chips just to switch it up. Paige MO

I wasn't prepared for how overbearing the molasses is in these bars. I normally love molasses cookies, but for some reason there was something off in this recipe. They were very moist, simple to make, but unfortunately the flavor was off.

you have to really like molasses to eat these! they were awfull. and no its not the baker. i have made many receipes from food network and usually have great success meaning every one gobbles it up. these, ... well .... the dog ate them and was happy. if youre looking for doggy snacks you found a great receipe. thats the reason i gave it one star.

They were VERY easy to make. I also added a handful (about 1/4 cup of milk chocolate chips, that makes it great for the chocolate lovers. Great to make as a quick snack or to give as a gift.

I just made these after having had the recipe printed out for years. I left out the raisins, and substituted some of the molasses for light corn syrup. My entire family likes them very much!

It's not a bad recipe, but it's NOT an oatmeal bar - with all the flavor and color of molasses - it's a molasses bar cookie that you throw a little oatmeal into. When I made this I wanted an oatmeal bar cookie, so I was disappointed. Fortunately, my husband loved them.
