Mine were a tad bit loose as well, but i made sure to pack them down a bit when i individually wrapped them and they stuck together a bit better. I really enjoyed the flavors in this bar; however, I didn't use dried figs but dried dates instead because I had some in my fridge. I will be making these (with personal alterations and tweaking instead of the store bought fiber bars.

These were omg! taste so good!! This was a the first snack/health bar I've made and what a great recipe. I used 2T. pancake syrup, 1t. olive oil, 1T. brown sugar, didn't have wheat germ so I grinded some bite size shredded wheat, didnt have figs so I added sunflower seeds, sliced almonds and goji berrys plus the apricots. A dash of sea salt. And store brand rice chex. My husband also loved these! You just want to keep snacking on these but must remember to limit yourself!! Thank you so much for the recipe and advice from others is so helpful!

I am a fellow dietitian--I think this is a great resource for those needing a handy snack. These remind me nutritionally of kashi bars. I say that just to open the minds of those who think healthy eating has to be time consuming. If you don't have time to make bars from scratch, you can get benefits from purchasing bars as well.

I just made the recipe, I did mix things up a bit like I didnt have bown sugar so I used regular , I added extra peanut butter, and used flax seeds... But they came out great!!! Instead of pressing the mixture in a glass baking dish I pressed the mixture in to recycled Manicotti trays, they are perfect portions and you don't have to cut them, just flip them out.....

Made these today. They are delicious. My favorite peanut butter is a natural peanut butter with honey, which works really well in this recipe.

I made these bars and I passed it along I enjoyed them so much! They're really easy to make. The important thing is pressing thme down firmly and refrigerating them so they set up porperly. Everyone loved them; there's nothing left! So easy to add more different nuts and fruit to your own taste. Thanks Dana!

I made these this morning with my two year old daughter. If you spray your measuring cup with some pam before you put the honey and peanut butter in it, it will slide out perfectly! So in my suasepan I used honey, peanut butter half of the brown sugar cinnamon and vanilla. (you really dont need the oil and syrup And may not even need the brown sugar, but my daughter loves these! I used the 2 cups rolled oats, with 1/4 cup flax seed, a cup of dried tropical friut, 1/2 cup peanuts and uncle sams toasted whole wheat flakes and flax seed. (personally don't bother with the salt...you wont even know your missing it and I love salt! These turned out SO GOOD! like i said my two year ols loves them! This is a family favorite for sure, thanks!

I make my own super healthy peanut butter nutrition bars and it doesn't have any sugar in it except natural honey and they are really sweet. If you're having trouble getting them to stay together, add more peanut butter and I press mix firmly in wax paper lined cake dish and put in frig for an hour, then cut unto bars with a large knife. I never have a problem with my bars crumbling. I also use organic peanut butter, natural honey, organic granola, ground flax seed, organic bran cereal, (raisin bran works great, and some nuts. That's it! It is much healthier. Trust me...you don't need oil, maple syrup or brown sugar. The honey makes it really sweet. Try it, you'll love it.

What is the sugar content of this recipe. I am diabetic and I also follow the sugar content as well as the carbs. Thanks so much.
