This is a fantastic recipe and everyone who ever ate one LOVED them! Make sure you use fresh ingredients, do not substitute margarine for butter, use the cake flour and regular flour and you can't go wrong. The best part for me is that our schools are "nut free" and these are ALWAYS welcome there for kid birthday parties. Hats off to Paula and Back in the Day for this one!

This was an excellent recipe. First time I have ever made cupcakes from scratch. My 11 year old daughter said these were the best cupcakes she had ever had. My wife said there yummy!
I did the cupcakes as specified except I didn't have whole milk so I used 2%. Also a tip let the stick butter get to room temperature. Of course every oven is different but on mine I had to cook them at 325% for about 25-28 mins. Excellent Recipe.

I thought these cakes were great! Moist! Some people don't know how to follow instructions!

Tried these cupcakes for my mum and dad. Twenty-four cupcakes eaten by them in less than three days. Enough said.

These cupcakes were horrible. I followed the recipe and the cupcakes turned out flat, greasy, and not flavorful. I was so disappointed with the way these cupcakes turned out that this recipe lost all legitimacy to me-- I didn't even bother making the frosting the way it says here because if it's anything like these cupcakes, it's not worth my time.

I couldn't wait to finish making the icing to write the review. These cupcakes are a winner. They taste very good and are very moist, which I love! I just replaced cake flour by the gegular flour, and I didn't even change the measures. I added to the batter few drops of pink food coloring, it was really cute. My daughter loved it and she is really picky. I can't wait to make the frosting!

Delicious! I followed recipe to a T, except that I didn't have cake flour so I substituted regular flour using a bit less as substitution requires. I did use the frosting shown and also made some chocolate frosting for half of the cupcakes. Tastes great. A bit hit with my family.

i am 12 years old and this is the first time i have made cupcakes from scratch and they were great my mom and brother thought they were just as good as store bought cupcakes. I recommend this to everyone especially families with picky eaters.
