After making the recipe and refrigerating it, it was too wet to roll out. I added more flour, but the cookies were not good!

Your son did read it wrong. The recipe calls for 1/4 tsp Baking powder

there is to much baking powder at first i thought my son read it wrong but 2 tsp is to much made cooies puffy and you could taste it

Though this recipe produced really tasty cookies, the dough was incredibly difficult to work with because of the high butter content. It quickly went from being too hard to roll to being the consistency of softened butter. I'm searching for another recipe to make party favors.
