Yummy! Or as we say in the Islands "Broke da' Mout!"

My family LOVED this! There are a few in the family that don't like so much sugar on their doughnuts, so we just sprinkled a bit on a few, and the LOVED it!

For dinner we're gonna run with the idea and mix up some turkey filling and put that in the middle of the dough and fry it up! : Sounds yummy already!

    Aloha,
    Mia

I am excited to be able to make donuts without the work of making the dough. The orange sugar was really tasty, but my orange zest was so moist it made the sugar kind of clumpy so the sugar wouldn't stick to the donuts very well. Any ideas for how to fix that? I also found that 2 cups of sugar was way more than needed. I would reduce the sugar by half but use the same amount of orange zest and cinnamon.

These doughnuts were amazing. I opted out on the orange zest and they were great. I only had the layerd philsbury busquits on hand and they worked out well. They actually looked like large sized popcorn after being fried. Try making them, u will not be disappointed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Boy, they think I actually worked up a sweat making these.

Didn't have the orange zest so I mixed the sugar with cinnamon, 1/4 tsp of mace and 1/4 tsp of allspice ...tasted great and made the kitchen smell like I had been baking for hours

Fast and easy and oh so good. I actually made half the dough balls the way the receipe callled for and for the other half I used powdered sugar with some orage blossom honey on the side for dipping. The powdered sugar ones tasted like sopapillas.

Man those are good! So easy and they don't taste like fried buttermilk bisquits, rather warm, fresh, delicious donuts! Gotta love The Sunny!!!!!

These were absolutely FANTASTIC! The first batch was so good that we had to run to the store and get more biscuits so we could make more. I never knew making donut holes could be so easy! Thanks Sunny!
