Unanimously voted this year's best on my 2009 cookie tray gift. Thank you for a great recipe. It's always a challenge to find one that 30+ people will like...but yours was "over the top".

Not only were they fun to make, fun to eat as well, hahaha. They were the first cookies to go last Christmas.

These are awesome! I didn't have a scale and they turned out perfect-not soupy- I didn't have macadamia nuts- so I went with whole almonds and almond extract. Will get Macademia nuts for next time. My grandson-who doesn't like much of anything said they were the best! Thanks Alton ps when I go for the nuts I'm looking at food scales.

I was skeptical a few years ago when my husband bought me a scale for christmas, but I've learned to love it. It's small, looks good on the counter and is easier that measuring cups.
Good cookies Mr Brown. Thanks!

These macaroons are delicious! Don't listen to negative reviews about having to weigh the ingredients. I have a liquid measuring cup that has ounces and I used that to measure the sugar, condensed milk, etc. Also, I want to mention that my egg whites and sugar didn't ever form peaks. I was so disappointed because I thought the batch was going to be ruined but they turned out so moist and delicious! If you are thinking about making this recipe just go for it! Side note, I used white chocolate chips for the topping instead of semi-sweet chocolate because I thought the white would go better. I loved it and so did everyone else.

WOW! My whole family just loved these, and they were so easy to make! I had a big cookie exchange to go to this year and this was a great recipe to make several batches of relatively quickly. They were so yummy, the first to go at the exchange!!! AS ALWAYS ... Thanks Alton! Your recipes are always spot on!
