    So delicious! Easy too!
I halved the recipe (to feed only 4 people and it was so good that I should have made more. The only variation I made was to sautee the garlic and onion in the olive oil for a few minutes because I love the taste. This is a wonderfully simple, tasty dish.

The recipe was a great base... I actually added a bottle of white wine. Sauteed the garlic and onions before adding and cooked the greens for HRS to get the most from the hamhock...They were a big hit!

yeah these collards were really good. i was nervous about putting a whole onion in there but they turned out great! i also added some red papper flakes and an extra clove of garlic - my boyfriend and i like them a little spicy!

My family really endulged on the Collard greens this year. I will never make them any other way ever again.Everyone should try their greens this way. The only difference is i used Smoked Turkey Drumsticks instead of hamhocks. They were Fabulous.
