My five year old grandson and I made this recipe today for him to take home to his parents for dinner. We covered our colors using a mixture of red, green and yellow heirloom tomatoes. We used our numbers with measuring. We tasted "SOUR" by sucking on the leftover lemon shells (yikes! and compared it to "sweet" with a wet finger of sugar. Ryan thought our fresh basil smelled like "pretty." I thought nothing could improve on the "experience" - until I tasted that salad. It is truly great, and it's so simple to make! This is a keeper I'm sure we'll use again and again. Chef Nonny and Chef Ryan think the fresh heirloom tomatoes, the fresh basil and lemon are a magnificent combo. If Ryan thinks basil "smells like pretty", Nonny thinks this salad tastes like summer!!
I love your magazine and cannot wait to try new recipes every month when it arrives. Once again, the magazine has paid for itself in pure pleasure!!
