I made these pancakes for breakfast this morning. They were the most light and fluffy pancakes I've ever tasted. Neither my husband nor my son are big pancake eaters, but when they ate these, they became fans. Thanks Pat and Gina. Next time, I'll have to make some of Mama Callie's syrup.

I tried it too and it was fabulous! I only tried the syrup part. It reminded me of Mrs. Butterworth's without the high fructose corn syrup! cha-ching! If it boils too much it'll become candy so watch it carefully. After about 20 mins. mine became very thick and I had to add water to thin it back out to a syrup. Delish!! Thanks so much for posting!

OMG! Finally have a recipe from scratch that is great! It was way thicker than I've ever used and had to resist the urge to thin it down, and so glad I resisted. Kids loved it, too!

I love these pancakes; they were light and fluffy. I put cooked apples with cinnamon, brown sugar, sugar, vanilla, and lemon extract on top of them instead. My family and I thought they were Delicious!!

My husband loves breakfast, but pancakes have not always been on the tip top of his list. Now when I tell him I'm making these, he actually says Yay! Enough batter for 2 days worth. Definately make the syrup, very simple and ultra tasty!

Great recipe! We tried this during Snowmaggedon in 2010 and love it. The pancakes are light and flavorful. We use Maple Butter on top which adds to the decadence
