THe flavor was good once hot. But it cooled off and it turned crystally again? Did I do something wrong? I made it twice, any suggestions?

I awoke in the morning and decided that I wanted some french toast for breakfast and low and behold no syrup. I remember watching Gina and Pat one morning when they made breakfast and thought about Mamma Callie's syrup. I checked on the website for the recipe and had everything I needed. I made the syrup as instructed and it was de-e-elicious. I now have a homemade recipe for syrup which I really enjoyed. Thank you Gina and Pat and of course Mamma Callie.

I wanted to comment on the marinating of your relationship. Pat And Gina have given my husband and I a new way of cooking and enhancing our marriage. Thanks Pat And Gina for not only your great recipes, but your spirit of togetherness...

Pat and Gina these pancakes are wonderful. They were sooo good, I had to make them for our next Saturday morning breakfast. I had given up on pancakes since they always make me feel so sloggish. Watching you guys put those pecans on those pancakes, I just had to try them. These pancakes were so good I did not even need the syrup, so I didn't make the Mamma Callie Syrup. My husband and teenagers used pure maple syrup. Everybody loved these pancakes and I did not feel sloggish after eating them. I bet it was the buttermilk.

The pancakes were OK, but Mamma Callie's syrup was the worst thing I ever made!

All of us love, love, loved these pancakes. They were easy to make and from here on out I will make Mama Callie's syrup recipe. It was pure, tasty and simple to do. I think your secret ingredient that makes everything special is the love you add to each dish. Thank you Neelys, you are an adorable and talented couple. Best regards, Mary Anne

I made this for the first time for my husband for Father's Day! We absolutely loved it! I used the Neely tip of creating a well and then folding in the flour, and WOW what a difference! The pancakes came out so fluffy and yummy! I also used this recipe not only for the pecans, but the next day, I replaced the pecans with Blueberries and Oh my what a treat! :- Thank you Neely's! Love watching your show!

These pancakes are awesome! They taste so good and they are very easy! I just happened to tune into the show and I realized that I had all of the ingredients in my pantry (except for the pecans. Even without the pecans they are so very tasty. And Pat is right, don't overmix it! I was under a time crunch so I didn't make the syrup but from the other reviews it looks like it's worth it! So I will definitely do it next time!
