I love this recipe! I used the ingredients I had and substituted the corn on the cob with defrosted frozen corn & paprika instead of cayenne pepper and the recipe was still outstanding!

Spent childhood on a farm in Iowa, planted and reaped corn, etc., etc., etc. Saw this recipe---thought it would be terrible ...putting anything SWEET on fresh corn cobs. Intentionally, I made the recipe. For what this is worth...my husband and I tasted one of the most exceptional corn flavors...EVER! Fresh corn with butter/salt has been reliably delicious. This new recipe gave us a flavor we never expected. It was terrific...to us, our daughters and our granddaughters. Thank You so much!!!

I also made this with the Peach Glazed Ham and it is so good! Unless you're a complete heat wimp, keep the cayenne, it adds that special something without overpowering your taste buds.

I do not care where the person is from, how the typing might be,or anything else. Or if someone can not pronucaite to somones satifaction. I come to the comments & review section of the site to see about the recipe. Why are there so many people complaining how someone is, what people are like from a certain state. This is a site about food not about anything else. Stop the complaining and get cooking.

OMG...this was so good!!!! So much so, I had to make more for seconds and I wanted some to pack for lunch!!!! I used 16oz of frozen corn and sweet onion instead of shallots. I will be passing this recipe on for sure!!!!!
