This recipe was yummy but either I did something wrong or not sure? It kind of fell apart at some points when making the patties and when frying it. I also thing that crab cakes can be heavy because they absorb so much oil and have mayo in them. Instead of tartar sauce I made a chipotle mayo because my family likes some spicy things but overall, good flavor and would try again but I'd like to try a different recipe next time. Worth a shot though and I love the idea of the BLT!

Delicious crab cake recipe! The homemade dill tartar sauce has convinced me that homemade is much better than jarred tartar sauce. Simple to make and delicious! This will be a summer go-to recipe. Wonderful with corn-on-the cob!

This is great recipe!!! I'm super picky about my crab cakes, many recipes and restaurant crab cakes I do not like. I love this recipe, my husband loved it so much he ate 4 crab cakes! Instead of using Old Bay (because I didn't have any I used lemon pepper spice. We did not eat our crab cakes as a sandwich and they were excite on their own. This recipe is so easy and quick to make. We will be enjoying this recipe again and again.

My wife and I really love crab cakes and can't wait to go to Lexington market in Baltimore, Maryland to get the best we've tasted. But since I tried this recipe, I can stay close to home now, it was easy and great tasting, refrigeration is the key to keeping them firm, I added 1 cup of panko instead of 3/4 seems to bind better. Great Job Pat and Gina

Great crab cake recipe.Fresh sauce is a must. Made cakes into smaller cakes & served as a surf & turf dinner theme. Huge hit!
