Yum! I added skim milk instead of half and half, threw in a splash of merlot and blended so it was still chunky. So good! My 15 month old is covered in red right now and is still saying "num!".

I love Creamy Tomato Soup, but this recipe took it up a notch with the Roasted Red Peppers! It was delicious! Will be a favorite. Perfect for impressing your guests. Would consider garnish with a little Feta; it would compliment nicely.

LOVE IT! I usually make it without the half-and-half to cut back on calories and it is still wonderful. I make it as often as possible.

Delicious. Similar to La Madeleine's Tomato Basil Soup. I used fat free half-and-half to keep the calories down and it still tasted rich. I also used liquid from the roasted red peppers as a substitute for 1/2 cup of the chicken broth to add more pepper flavor and garnished with freshly grated Parmesan. What a tasty, light lunch!

Perfect soup. Loved it. I made it today for me and my teenager for lunch, it was amazing. I think next time I would serve it will a 'posh' grilled cheese. Couldn't be any easier to make either.

My wife thinks I'm turning into one fine cook. This was great tonight and we will make it many times to come. I didn't have any roasted peppers so I used a good salsa instead. This was the best tomato soup I have ever put in my mouth.
I love your show. Thanks

made with fresh roasted peppers and heirloom tomato's, OFF THE WALL. I loved the fact that it didnt have underlying spices that so many soups do have.

We loved this soup! I used 2 cans of diced tomatoes instead of using the peppers and it was phenominal. I do think next time I am going to roast a batch of tomatoes and then only use 1 can of fire roasted tomatoes. The only thing I can think of is that the basil should be finely chopped before throwing in because the stick blender did not chop or blend it properly (in the show they just threw it in. we paired our soup with panini's made with pesto, smoked turkey and fresh mozzarella cheese (used my George Forman grill to make sandwiches and just buttered the outside of the bread like you would a grill cheese and it was an awesome match!
