I tried this recipe last night for the first time. I usually bread them with
cornmeal but the Panko was sooooo much lighter and crunchier. I
will be making these again for sure. Thank you !!

I have been making fried green tomatoes for quite a while using a different recipe. I saw this episode when it first aired and the finished product looked so beautiful and delicious, so I said I'd try it soon. Well I'm just now getting around to it and don't know why I waited so long! I tried this recipe yesterday for the first time and the tomatoes turned out perfectly, looking exactly like it was prepared on TV. These tomatoes were absolutely delicious! Going forward, this is my go-to recipe, I will not prepare them the way I used to anymore. The panko bread crumbs make all the difference. Once again Gina and Pat, you did not disappoint. Keep up the good work, love yo both and enjoy watching your show religiously!!!

This is an awesome recipe. My family loved it. I tried another recipe for years, but this is the best thus far.

With a frost warning on the docket last night, the kids picked the rest of the tomatoes, that weren't rotten. They were all green. They went and looked for a recipe for fried green tomatoes and found this one. We all loved it and will definitely make this again! I live in Wisconsin, so fried green tomatoes aren't something we see very often up here.

I've been curious about fried green tomatoes for years. One rainy day, my daughter and I watched Gina Neely make them. I figured, living up north, I'd never see green tomatoes for sale. Well, there were some at the Farmer's Market. I bought a few and tried this recipe.

It was easy to do, and they were delicious. I made them twice. Once with plain bread crumbs, the second time, with panko. I liked the rougher panko texture better.

My family said the fried green tomatoes were delicious as is, and didn't want the dip.

I will keep buying the green tomatoes and making this recipe as long as the tomatoes are available.

These were the best, my husband loved them. I cannot wait to make these again. I did something wrong on the buttermilk dip so I will try to make that again but the tomatoes were delicious without the dip. I love watching your show it is so nice to see a couple that enjoy each other and enjoy cooking together. Keep up the good work.
