This recipe was both easy to make and delicious, especially for my summer cookout. I made it at 3 in the afternoon, stuck it in the freezer, and removed it around 6:30 for 15 minutes to soften. It was perfect for serving. Everyone raved about it and wanted the recipe. It's refreshing and yummilicious at the same time. I served it plain, but you certainly could add berries to dress it. So perfect for a summer's evening.

OMGoodness! Made this for a party of 16 people along side another dessert. Cut 16 pieces which was fine since there were 2 desserts. My husband had made a triple berry freezer jam a week earlier which is what we used to top it. It truly was fantastic! Loved by all.

Super easy to make and perfect for a typical Memphis summer! Made it for July 4th and it was gone within a matter of minutes. Loved by all, only wish I had made two!

This is super easy to make and got rave reviews from our guests at a recent picnic. It is like a rich, decadent lemon ice cream. It would be great even without a pie crust. Also great with strawberries. Pre-made pie crust makes it even easier!

I have made this frozen pie for 30 years using a 12 oz. carton of Cool Whip uinstead of heavy cream. I also have made many versions using different frozen concentrates, ie. pineapple, raspberry, pink lemonade, etc. If you can't find the 6oz size, buy the 12 oz. and cut it in half while froaen and save the rest for another time. This is a favorite of family and friends. As soon as the weather gets hot, the requests start. We love it because it is so refreshing!

You can make it even easier by using a small carton of Cool Whip instead of the whipping cream. Fewer calories too!

The Lemonade pie is great. Inspred the review by pmmelton_12923889(copy or review follows this text I made the limeade -great. The next time I went to make it, I had loads of leftover egg whites, so I baked off some meringues and placed them on each slice as I served them I kept the meringues in a sealed tin until ready to serve - added fruit at serving time too. Italian meringues would also be great. The next time I have leftover whites, I'll try it.
thank you pmmelton_12923889 and Neelys
I've been making this pie for over 30 years. So easy and taste
great. I never freeze it - just chill it well. You can use frozen limeaid for a quick "key lime pie" also.
