I accidentally added the bananas before the dry ingredients. My cupcakes didn't rise very much. Could that have been the reason or do these not rise a lot?

I made this recipe without the frosting and it was still delicious. I liked that the cupcake recipe only used a 1/2 cup of sugar, when other recipes used 1 full cup. Even though it had less sugar, it was still very sweet because the bananas I used were already very ripe. I will make again. Next time I may try using veg oil instead of butter to lighten it up.

I searched all over the internet to make something with bananas(had a bunch in the freezer and this was the recipe that stood out - so glad that it did - they are great! I have made them twice in the last few weeks. I made a batch unfrosted and put in the freezer - all you need to do is frost when ready. Actually, these are so good they don't need frosting. I added chocolate chips and topped with chocolate frosting. The best!!

I loved these! I used a simple buttercream frosting instead though. Yum yum!

SOOOOO GOOOOOD!!! Moist, not too sweet. Used a little more than half of the molasses and half the milk in the frosting. Makes plenty of frosting. Delicious combination!

Outstanding banana cupcake recipe. Light, chewy inside, not too sweet. I used 1/2 unbleached and 1/2 whole wheat pastry flour for added nutrition. Didn't have any nuts on hand but they were still wonderful. And like others before me said, nice only making 12 cupcakes. I did not frost them and they were just plain old good with a glass of milk. I will make these again, a keeper recipe.

The best banana cupcake I have ever baked and I liked the idea of only 12. The only thing I did different was to the frosting...I only added one TBSP molasses to the frosting...because molasses is strong to me. Other than that...WOW

Love it from scratch. Moist and full of flavor. Only 12 cupcakes (... instead of way too many and I end up eating them.

These cupcakes turned out fantastic! It was an easy recipe to follow too. I didn't make the frosting because I ran out of molasses but I did a traditional cream cheese frosting with a little cinnamon. The cupcakes were so moist and takes better than another recipe that I normally use. Everyone loved them even my 7 yr old son who doesn't like bananas! He at least loves banana in cupcakes now! Enjoy!
