These cupcakes are EXCELLENT! Don't over mix and cook them for 20 minutes...no longer. The icing is SUPERB! The only change I made was to leave out the milk and cut the vanilla back to half a teaspoon, otherwise, it's too thin. I also garnished with crisp chopped bacon in addition to the nuts...yes, I know, fattening-but sooooo yummy!

I picked these to make for my Daughter's 4th B-day party. I though they sounded different and would be nothing anyone had ever had before. Lets just say by the time everyone had left, I printed out over 25 copies of this recipe. Fantastic! The frosting was heavenly. I will make these again and again.

I am Asian and first time in my life I tried cupcake. Banana cupcakes turned out fantastic.
My DH could not stop praising.. Only thing is instead of all purpose flour I used cake flour and little less sugar than it is mentioned in the recipe. Yummy cupcake!!

These were absolutely amazing!!! I was careful not to over mix or overbake. 20 minutes is ALL it needs. I questioned whether it was done or not, but decided to trust the recipe and take them out to cool. they were perfect. The frosting i was afraid was too....molasses-y. But together with the cupcake there was not doubt that this was a genius combination. The only thing....I needed only half the frosting. next time, i will cut the frosting recipe in half (OR double the cupcake recipe!!!

Just made these for the first time and the cake was just ok. Maybe I let them cook to long, but once combined with the icing these were great! I will absolutely make these again and use the icing for different things!
