the frosting is a bit different. I liked it, however my kids thought it was strange. The cupcakes are a 5+. But the frosting was a 3+.

It was my turn to bring snack for my son's preschool class, and I wanted to make something homemade. So I mixed up these cupcakes, but I nixed the frosting (too messy for three-year-olds, and instead I put in half a bag of mini chocolate chips. I also made them in mini-muffin pans so they were extra kid-friendly. What a hit! The kids went "bananas" over them!

I made these and peanut butter cupcakes for my daughters 2nd birthday. These were awesome! My daughter loved them along with the rest of the party. She didn't even bother with the peanut butter cupcakes.

I've made these twice. The first time I used very ripe bananas, almost completely brown and they came out amazing!! I added chocolate chunks, too.
Last night I made them again and used bananas that weren't nearly as ripe. Even after baking for 25 minutes, they weren't cooked through. They stuck to the liners and I had to throw them all away. Make sure your bananas are super ripe for the best results!!

The muffins were great but in my opinion the bisquick recipe for banana bread tastes the same or better and has less fat and is easier to make- you add everything at the same time. The frosting was good once on the muffin but too sweet off, also make half the recipe shown or you will have way too much left over frosting, overall a very good muffin

The cupcake was wonderful and the icing was terrific! I was forced to share the recipe with my quilt group.

These were excellent. Very moist, great flavor and easy to make. I will never use a box cake mix again. For the frosting I used 1 Tbls of pumpkin pie spice instead of the molasses. A nice compliment to the cake.

I thought the cupcakes were fantastic. They were very muffin like except that they were more buttery. The frosting, on the other hand, I wasn't as fond of. I had never worked with molasses before and I'm not sure I will again. Very sweet and just not a flavor I really liked. If I made these again, I would use just a buttercream frosting or perhaps a maple buttercream. I wound up adding extra cream cheese to mine to cut down some of that molasses flavor. I'd give the cupcake portion 4-5 stars.

These cupcakes are sooooooo good!! I've made them over and over again and they come out perfect and moist everytime. I don't make the frosting because they taste amazing plain. My mouth is actually watering right now just thinking about them..
