This bacon ROCKED! I used my broiler pan and it came out awesome. I put the brown sugar/cayenne/pepper in a cake pan-coated the bacon by turning them over several times. I sprayed the top sheet of the broiler pan with some non stick spray, I covered the bottom of broiler pan in foil for easy clean up. I also cut my bacon pieces in half for a little quicker cooking time and to utilize the space on my broiler pan. After I had all of the bacon arranged, I took the remainder of the brown sugar mix and sprinkled over the top of the bacon. I cooked this at 375 for 25 minutes..glass of orange juice and some toast..very satisfying morning..I will be using this again. Cayenne took it to a whole new level. Think I will try this mixture in some baked beans too!

This recipe took bacon taste to a new level. Yummmy! you have to try this! I must admit that I had to buy beef bacon because am an Adventist and we do not eat pork. But still it was some good eating.

I put my rack over the bottom of my broiler pan. It fit just right. I didn't measure anything. Just sprinkled the brown sugar over the bacon and pepper on the slices. I didn't crowd the rack either because I have done that before and it was a mess. It makes a difference to have the air circulating around the bacon I think. For anyone that thinks it didn't work - try again. It was delicious. My kids loved it.

I tried the recipe with turkey bacon and I lined my cookie sheet with aluminum foil and oiled the foil with cooking spray. This really made a difference. The bacon came off so easily with a spatula as soon as I took them out the oven. Ionly used 1/8 tsp cayeene pepper. The brown sugar did not stick and the bacon was delicious. The bacon on oven baked turkey burgers and side of corn on the cob had my family wanting more. They love it. Clean up was a cinch. Just pull off the foil and throw away.

Absolutely loved this bacon, although it was a little too hot for me and my family. You may want to consider using 1/2 the recommended amount of cayene pepper. So crispy and flavorful!

I agree with Cynthia--I cooked the bacon exactly as stated in the recipe, but it never got crisp. Then I cooked it longer, but still the same texture. The bacon tasted syrupy--too sweet for us. Also, clean-up was too bothersome, having to clean not only the rack but the baking sheet where the drippings cooked on so much that I had to soak the sheet before I could scrub off the crustiness. This sounded delicious, but it just didn't work for us.

Quote from my teenagers: "This is the BEST bacon I've ever had!" I concur! They had to wait only 14 and 18 years, I had to wait 45! Lucky them.
