I really loved this pie as well as my family. I was in a rush so I didn't make the whipped cream, used Reddi Whip. If you use Reddi Whip be sure to use right before serving or better yet cut individually slices and top with the Reddi Whip, pecans and chocolate shavings. Next time I make this I'll be sure and make the whipped cream and it will be even better!!!!

Wonderfully satisfying for chocolate lovers. I'm thinking a little rum or bourbon flavor can kick this mud puppy up to festive status. I did not use a prepared crust, I made my own with chocolate graham crackers, butter and sugar. I used a large pie plate and will double the whipped cream topping recipe next time.

This pie is so easy to make and so wonderful to eat! I saw it on tv when it aired and ran right out to the store so I could make it for my family and we all loved it! The outside you have the wonderful crust and then the best tasting "mud" Ive seen! Creamy and gooey goodness!
