I read the reviews before I baked the cookies, so I added an extra cup of flour and baked for14 minutes. When I looked at other recipes they all call for 1 and 1/4 cups of flour.. I guess it's trial by fire, so to speak. The spices taste great and weren't over powering to me. I also think there may need to a change to the site b/c the cook time says 22 mins when that's clearly, too long. I'm overall, not a bad recipe. I'm happy with my yummy cookies!

I love the taste of this cookie!!! It's also a hit with my kids & grandchildren!!! These cookies will definitely be served during this holiday season. I had to add a little more flour too, but hey, it wasn't a big deal. Be it a typographical error or an error in the listed ingredients.... remember, NO ONE is perfect!!! As for Ms. Sheila in Wall, NJ review dated 6-20-09..... if the recipes on this website are so awful to you, then honey why do you keep coming to it?! It's so sad that you're not able to watch such a loving couple as Gina & Pat working in the kitchen together..... I guess that ole' saying "misery loves company" is so true. Maybe if you start finding nicer things to say, or don't say anything at all, some day you'll come across a MAN to love you... the way Pat loves Gina!! Hey, I got mines, and he can through down in the kitchen too! Gina & Pat.... keep doing yah thang.... and I'll be watching and a cookin' (smile!!! Love yah show!!!
One of yah biggest fans.... Rita Youngstown, OH 9-29-2009

I just want Sheila to know that she needs to see a therapist! What a sourpuss! She doesn't know "great" when she see it! Are you having a good day, Sheila? My guess is NOT! Pat and Gina Neely are one of the best couples on TV today. I LOVE watching them! By the way, my husband loves me too! I'm sorry, Sheila, that you have such a horrible life-it shows!

I will continue to watch the Neely's and try their great recipes!

I am going to try this recipe today. Being a personal chef myself and reading all the reviews, I will make a few adjustments. The spices are what intrigued me and golden raisins instead of the dark raisins.
Like Sheila, I like to go to other websites to see how I can mix and combine different ingredients. However, she went too far to analyze their relationship. The
one thing that turns me off is all the kissing and "baby" this and "baby" that. Hey, we all know " all that gllitters ain't gold." If the marriage s that good, keep it private. and stick to cooking.

Even though I have not made this recipe yet I am going to give it a 5 star rating in advance. I gave it a 5 star based on what I reviewed to include the video and my experience and knowledge making cookies. And yes after i make these cookes I will come back and rate them again. Why didn't I just wait? Trust me... I make good cookies and believe it when I say that I am not going to just follow anyone. It was a go for me when I saw the ingredients, the mixed batter, and the finished product. Neelys! lets do this. O'And I loved the way she rolled the cookie sandwich in the nuts at the end. Thats money. I would pay for that and to me that's the key to good cooking...when you can say...."I WOULD PAY FOR THAT." ...More over let me explain something to some of you. The more cookies you have in the oven the more time it will take to cook them...hint hint...20 minutes....lol

I have made many of the recipes from this series without incident. However, I agree there is definitely a mistake in this one. Using the recipe as written, the cookies spread and were like a lace cookie recipe. Thankfully I had read these reviews. So after my first batch came out, I added another cup of flour. The rest of the batch was much better. The taste is great, I did omit the raisins as my kids don't like them.

Where are you guys getting 22 minutes from? That is way too long. I made 2 batches. The first was similar to what everyone else was saying. I added more flour to the second batch and they came out perfect. I too let them sit and cool before handling them. They tasted great! I've made them 2 other times with the extra flour and used walnuts instead of pecans and they still came out great.
