I made these for Father's Day and they were a hit except for the cookie was flat and cripy....they did not turn out like they looked on the show. After reading the reviews I am going to try them again but this time I will add more flour. They had a really good taste though!

I use this site all the time and always get great results. Maybe Sheila just doesn't know how to cook and if she can't stop throwing up I got an idea, stop watching the show. Keep up the good work Neelys!

I wonder why people keep using this website for recipes. Come here and get some ideas and then go to another site to get recipes. Trust me...most recipes DO NOT come out properly and this cookie recipe is just another example. So why is it that the recipes are all printed wrong or is the entire FN just a huge moneymaker that really doesnt care about the public? Oh and I cant stop throwing up over Pat and Gina show. Pat needs to become a real man at some point in his life and Gina is just about the pushiest witch I have seen remove a mans self esteem and he thanks her for it. Yuck

I followed the directions as given except I used the regular oats instead of old fashioned ones. Cookies came out moist and similar to lace cookies with a little crisp. I baked for 12 minutes and they came out great. My children love them. Nice twist on an ice cream sandwich.

I read the reviews before making the cookies. I added one cup flour to the recipe and increased the cooking time to 14 minutes. The cookies came out soft and stayed together. I would make these cookies again.

The batter was much too thin - Maybe the flour measurement was off? Should have been 2 1/4 cups instead of 1 1/4 cups? We had to add flour to the mix after we had already baked six huge flat cookies. The taste was delicious though! If you like cookie dough this is a great recipe!

The flavor was good however the cookies spread too thin on the cookie sheet and burned at 22 min. Even cooking for a shorter period of time they are still hard. I am not sure where the moistness Pat was referring too is coming from.

These are delicious but the time is off. I did them in 3 batches and I got it right on the third attempt. 18 minutes in my oven and I let them sit on the cookie sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool. These don't need ice cream....they are wonderful by themselves.

The baking time for these cookies is entirely to long. When I baked them at 22 minutes they were completely hard and burned. When I tried baking them again at 10 minutes, they were soft. However, they do not hold their form. They spread entirely to thin. I do have to say, though, the flavor was good. Having said that, I think this recipe needs a bit more work to it before baking it on your show.

Cooking time too long. Cookies spread too thin and burned . Even with less cooking time they were more like lace cookies. Also cinnamon taste was too strong, it overpowered all the other flavors even the butter pecan ice cream
