This is an excellent salad. I will say that I had to add more salt (not a big deal AND it was much better the next day! When made exactly as written, it was a bit sour for my taste, but the salt fixed that. It was good enough to serve that night, but when I had it the next day...OMG! Couldn't stop eating it. Will definitely make it again, and will plan for enough time so that the flavors can meld.

My partner and I have absolutely enjoyed every Neely recipe we have tried and this one is no exception. I am really sick of the haters out there too. You can't possible imagine what is has done for our relationship and my partner's confidence to see this couple loving each other and the food they cook. It makes cooking fun for both of us now and I LOVE IT!

Loved this recipe, I made it after watching the show and we served it with grilled chicken. I'm sure changing up the dressing could make it very versatile...I HAD to write thought after reading the recipe and the comments. Is anyone really whining because a married loving couple is showing affection and respect? That is one of the reasons I love this how. Shame on you! Please comment on food, or suggest ideas and if you don't love these two, just watch something else! The rest of us will value the rare show in tv that respects and values marriage and doesn't show two people tearing each other to shreds.

    Hi
DId anyone else notice that it looked like a lot more than 1 t mustard. I want to try this because first of all like most of the Neely's recipes and love pasta salad of any kind/ If anyone can let me know I would really appreciate it. I will be making today with bbq chicken and will go with the standard 1 t and check it out

I really loved this salad! I would definitely plan to use plenty of salt. I am not sure that chiffinading the herbs is the way to go unless they are smaller leaves. I think my leaves might have been larger and I had long pieces and it was messier for my guests to eat but it did get rave reviews!

One reviewer wrote that it didn't quite have that bite, or kick. I agree. However, I made this when I made lamb/beef gyros, and I had tzatziki sauce that I mixed in my own plate with the salad. That gave it a nice kick. Perhaps, then, the kick that is needed is crushed garlic, as that is in the tzatziki sauce.

Everything I've ever tried from the Neely's has been excellent - I'm sure this orzo pasta salad will be no different. I love their show and their recipes. And being a native of the south, I say ya'll all the time. Nothing phony about me. But please, let's stick to rating the recipes, not the Neely's themselves.

I really wanted to love this recipe because I liked all of the ingredients. I made it this past Saturday after watching it again. I already had the recipe out from a previous showing, but I looked at the ingredients and realized we needed only the almonds and the tomatoes. I watched the episode again on Monday; it really looks like Gina used a LOT more Dijon than the recipe calls for. Maybe that would make a difference. I thought the finished product was good, but not spectacular for my taste. I like it, but I doubt I'll make it again. Giada has an orzo salad recipe that I much prefer, and I think the difference is the kick red wine vinegar gives it. I just felt this recipe was missing that "kick" - missing something that would take it over the top. I'm glad to have tried it.

I, too, agree that the comments should ideally be about the recipes themselves. But as a child of the South, I just wanted to add that the comments that Gina says "Ya'll" too much is likely more related to racism than anything else.....

In response to the ya'lls being said. There are more than one southern dialect. unless you have been in ALL PARTS OF THE SOUTH you shouold not generalize. That's called profiling. I love the Neelys, They bring a fresh look to Food Network and shows how a couple can have fun and enjoy life.
