These were VERY rich and creamy with great flavor. My family adored them. I served them with Sunny Anderson's deep fried chicken wings and a salad. That said, they were a little too big for me. Next time--and there will be one--I will use a mini cupcake pan instead and serve a beautiful tray of small frosted ones. That way my guests can decide if they want more or not as they are very strong.

My sister made these and they were absolutey wonderful. I plan on making them as part of my Thanksgiving dinner appetizers. They are well worth the effort.

I made these as mini muffins for an appetizer. Two bites was perfect.

I love all things Neely, but this wasn't my favorite. My "cakes" were a little bland. Maybe I did something wrong? I also had trouble keeping the pimento cheese on the cakes. Overall, this was a good recipe- just not fabulous.

OK, anyone who does not like these is crazy. They are GREAT. As far as Pat and Gina go, it is only the miserably married (or been dumped people who do not like them. This is how married couples should be to each other....affectionate and loving.

These were delicious! I'm a bit of a health freak, so the Neely's recipes are definitely for my "cheat days". But if I"m going to cheat I make sure it's good! This will definitely be a cheat day regular.

On another note, Why do people use the RECIPE REVIEW section to express comments about the hosts? If you don't like the Neely's loving expressions toward each other, I have a great suggestion...DON'T WATCH THEM! Every show has an angle it's known for. The Neely's show is about family cooking together. Please use the RECIPE REVIEW section to complain about the FOOD, not the show hosts. ConnieRN, you gave a 2 star rating for something that had nothing to do the the recipe!

Wow! What hostility! I find they way they Neelys relate to each other to be refreshing and endearing, and the food excellent. Sorry the display of normal, loving, married interaction is so abhorrent to some. Perhaps it's jealousy?

What's wrong with people liking and talking politely to one another. We think it's nice when married couples talk nice to each other. Apparently you (are you Yankees? don't know how Southern men talk to their ladies (and how to treat them.
Pat and Gina, one of the reasons my husband (35 yrs watch is because we like your relationship and how you show it.
