I really liked this recipe. To be honest, I didn't make it like the recipe said. I accidentally bought a mixture of baby spinach and arugula and used that. I also had some raspberries leftover from Christmas and threw those in. To top it off, I added some goat cheese to it. It all tasted really good, but I think next time I'll use a firmer cheese. I think this is a great recipe for a nice light summer lunch but can be hearty enough for a winter side dish as well.

This rating is far overdue for me. I wanted spinach in my diet but never had a receipe for it. I don't like cooked spinach. I have made this receipe several times and also took it to a birthday party pot luck, they loved it. I love it and make it at least every 2 weeks

It was very tasty! But I did use the dressing recipe from hattie54. Sounded better than the one the Neely's used, but I am sure that would have been delicious too.

A friend gave me a better dressing like the one above:

1/2 cup oil of any kind ( I like 1/4 th cup or a little less and usually use canola

    1/2 cup red wine vinegar

    1/2 cup balsamic vinegar

1/4 th cup orange juice or less

3 tablespoons browns sugar ( a little less or more

    dash of pepper

    dash of garlic powder

a tablespoon of Dijon style mustard,I don't always add this,it depends on my mood

Shake well and chill for a few hrs if you can.

Yummy Good, so easy to make, have made this salad 5 times in the last two weeks. Always taste great. Did a little variation on this recipe still was good. Have given this recipe to several of my friends. This will be the dish I bring to pot luck, knowing that it will be a hit.....

Loved the salad - and even made the dressing! Excellent, and everyone enjoyed. As a matter of fact, I made the entire meal that this salad was showcased on...garlic bread, shrimp with lemon garlic sauce and pasta. Every course was excellent!

Excellent salad, wonderful flavor, the pecans compliment the salad, the pecans aren't too tasty by themselves but with the yummy salad they are excellent. Love it!!

This salad looked soooo good on the program and I already had baby spinich in the fridge so I thought I would make it. It turned out terrible! The dressing ruined the salad and the pecans were terribly salty & too "spiced". Overkill. My family couldn't eat it and we had to throw it out. I've found that the Neely's recipes are not necessarily to my tastes so I think I will try a couple more, then move on.

The Pecans are amazing in this recipe. I omitted the bacon since I don't eat meat, but it didn't need it. Very fresh and a nice balance of heat and savory. Love it
