I have made this tomato pie 2 times now. Both times following the recipe. I made sure the dough was overlapping to ensure there were not holes for the cheese to escape, but it did anyway. We really enjoyed the flavor of this pie especially with fresh basil and oregano from our garden!! This is much like Giada's fresh pizza recipe using the same ingredients.

What a pleasant surprise. Tried this for company yesterday and what a hit. A great alternative to a cold salad. Everyone raved about it. Guess it will see its way to many get togethers now. The best part....it is so simple to prepare. Pepperoni, sausage, the additives are endless. Make it your own.

Had this last night at a girls get-together and loved it. You could add italian sausage if you have a husband like mine that has to have meat.

My and husband and I saw this recipe this morning and tried it this afternoon. It was great. Instead of just mozzarella we also added pepperjack cheese. Definitely will make this again and again.
