I only made the corn/tomato salad. and i have to say this is really awesome. i wasnt able to roast the corn on the grill, but i did pull out the iron skillet and fried it with a small amount of olive oil. i didnt use the arugula either. improvised, need i say more. the dressing is so wonderful. Please, please try this!!!!!!

I made this dish at a party that I attended as a first time guest for my new boyfriends family....needless 2 say " it was a Hit". Everyone wanted the recipe and
i intend on this being a staple meal for all of my gatherings.....no matter the Season or occasion.

I have made this several times with romain lettuce. Also have made the marinated shirmp as an appetizer without the salad. The flavor of the shrimp and salad dressing is great. I will share this recipe with others for certain. Love it. I was able to find roasted corn at Trader Joe's and keep it on hand in the freezer.

I made this the night after watching them do it on the show. Spicy? You are kidding, right? It was bland. Won't make it again. Maybe the recipe online was in error when I printed it out but we both thought it was about the most boring bland meal we have eaten, nothing was spicy, especially the shrimp which I cook on the grill often. I thought this would be a new way to do the shrimp but I am going back to my lemon/olive oil/garlic marinade for grilled shrimp. It is much easier and very tasty.

This recipe was very disappointing. If you make it - use a different lettuce such as bibb because the arugula is too over-powering. Nothing (except the lettuce "popped". A lot of hard work and expense for a bland salad and all you could taste was the arugula! I followed the Neely's recipe on tv - they used lemon juice and olive oil as the dressing where the printed recipe adds spices for the dressing. That could be the difference.

This recipe was the start for me to a wonderful cooking relationship with the Neely's. They are very creative chefs and such a real couple.

I have made the marinated shrimp twice now and it was delicious both times!

Having success with this simplistic recipe has proven that I'm not that terrible in the kitchen and has inspired me to keep at it.

This weekend, as a birthday gift to my boyfiend, I've decided to feed him!

I'll be trying my hand at the Spinach Salad with crans/pecans/bacon & blue cheese, BBQ Shrimp, Portobella Mushroom Fries, Get Yo' Man Chicken, Perfect Rice, and Roasted Brocoli w/ cherry tomatoes accompanied wth the Hurricane drinks, and topped off with the Strawberry Shortcut Cake. It's a big feat, I know, but I plan to do a lot of prep work tonight.

I hope I make you proud Neelys!!

If you like spicy shrimp, this is a great recipe. I made this shrimp as an appetizer, when I needed something quick. I reserved some marinade for some extra dip. Can't wait to try it with the salad.

We reserved some of the marinade for salad dressing, and we added black beans and avocado. Wow!
