This dish has the potential to be great!!! The syrup was the best... Even add a little vodka to spice it up! Cut up my watermelon and followed the directions perfectly. Once I put the dish together and drizzled a little of the syrup I was ready. I took a bit into the ice cream with the syrup and I LOVED IT!!! I then bit into the watermelon... It wasn't good. Not because of the recipe...it had the potential to be great! My watermelon was not very sweet. :-(
once I find a really sweet watermelon I will be trying this recipe again. Thank you Pat and Gina I love your show!!!

I'm only 13 and have yet to make the recipe, but I watched this show earlier today and it should taste fantastic! The sauce should compliment the sweet watermellon and classic vanilla icecream. By the way I love watching this channel! :

I really wanted to like this. I love grilled fruit! This was plain gross. The grilled watermelon had a horrible flavor... but mixed with the ice cream it was GROSS. I made this for father's day and NO ONE liked it.
