This was very good. I doubled the amount of ham because it didn't seem like enough. I also used cayenne pepper as suggested. It was very good!

I found this recipe so that I could use up some leftover ham from Christmas. This recipe is delicious. I did shred my own potatoes instead of using frozen hash browns. My boyfriend and I rate alot of recipes, especially the ones we try from our favorite food network chefs. This is a favorite. We loved it and we will make it again!!!!!

I made this for my family and it was a great hit. I used sausage instead of ham and it still turned out great. Thank you Patrick and Gina.

This was good but I had a few changes:
1 I used the 20 ounce bags of shredded potatos in the dairy section.
2 I salt and peppered the potatos seperately and also added a little onion powder to it and let it sit while I made the sauce (this was in a very large mixing bowl as I doubled the receipe
3 I used my food processor to mince the garlic and onions together (I also minced the ham
4 I used 1/2 sharp chedder in the bag and then I grated vermont cheddar by boars head (melts soooo nice
5 I used tavern ham by boars head instead of country ham (less salty taste more true ham taste
Finally I added about 3/4 additional cheese when I made the sauce
So just a few changes but it turned out great. I searched and searched for a recipe what didn't have sour cream in it and this one worked out great. Can't wait to share it tomorrow for Easter (now off to make homemade applesauce which I also got the recipe off food network but changed it a little too

Tasty end product with a few tweaks. Needs more cheese and milk/stock. The first time the potatoes were still a little raw. They need extra liquid.
I like the cayenne pepper suggestion. Will give that a shot next time.

Very good and easy to make! I loved it. I added a little cayenne pepper for a kick, but other than that I wouldn't change a thing. Hopefully, I'll be able to make it for my family when they come to visit on the weekends.
