easy recipe! first timer at holiday cookie making and this easy ginerbread recipe was a hit! I used a hand mixer and still got great results. I used a different icing recipe though. I will definately make again next year.

This is a wonderful recipe! Really easy to make and decorate. Even after sitting out all night so the royal icing could fully dry, the cookies were the perfect consistency....not too hard but not too soft..just right. This will be my yearly go to recipe for Christmas cookies! I highly recommend.

These are OK. I agree that they're not a really sweet cookie, especially since I didn't ice them. I like them not so sweet, but I don't think my coworkers will like them. More for me! Baking time says 10-12 minutes. I like a more chewy cookie, so next time I'll pull them out after 10 minutes rather than leaving them in for 12. Amyjgreene said hers stuck to the parchment. I lifted mine off with my hands -- no sticking problem at all. Would I bake them again? Yes, and next time I'll try the icing.

These were really easy to make. I'd always been intimidated by gingerbread but the Neely's broke it down and made it so simple. I'm a sweet tooth at heart, so I would have liked the end result to have a little bit more sugar...so next time I'll add more! However, I don't believe that the true essence of gingerbread is to be super sweet, so I'd say this recipe is right on the money.

These were a lot of work and the taste was okay. I think I'll be searching for a new recipe.

Easy to make, very tasty dough. But this dough was very sticky and once baked stuck to the parchment paper!I even sprayed the parchment with non stick cooking spray. I think I will take the crumbs I ended up scraping up and putting them over ice cream. I don't think I will make this recipie again.

1st time making gingerbread cookies. Great recipe and very easy to follow. If baking with little ones, no worries when large amounts of cookie dough are being consumed. No eggs. Lastly, loved the wonderful aroma going through the house. Yummy!
